Manitowoc Police Chief Nick Reimer will be starting his 4th year as head of the local department effective next Tuesday, January 1st. Reimer tells us that ‘traffic enforcement’…is extremely important to the safety of the Manitowoc community.
The chief is proud to note that accidents in the city have been reduced by about one-hundred a year, since 2016.
Reimer says he’s not sure of the exact number of speeding or pedestrian tickets written over that time but adds, “it’s literally in the thousands.”
