The Brown-Outagamie County Bomb Squad was deployed to the Brown County Arena last night, when a suspicious suitcase was spotted outside the sports complex. The luggage was spotted and reported to police at around 6:00 PM and the Brown County K-9 unit was sent to the area. The unnamed K-9 officer who was trained in bomb detection didn’t find anything suspicious about the parcel, but officers cleared the area anyway. Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Ashwaubenon Public Safety, the Green Bay Police Department, Brown-Outagamie County Bomb Squad, and the Brown County Highway Department were all on the scene when an individual came forward to claim the luggage. The scene was declared clear shortly after 8:00 PM.
