Mount Pleasant Police Stop Shoplifting Ring

Police in the Racine County village of Mount Pleasant say a shoplifting arrest on Christmas Eve day was more than just a few teens taking some stuff. Investigators say they broke up a shoplifting ring.  Police say a 19-year-old was driving several younger teenagers around the Racine area to steal from several stores.  Officers say they caught them trying to steal at the Walmart in Mount Pleasant.  During the bust, officers say a 14-year-old jumped in a car, took off, and crashed.  All the suspects are facing charges in either adult or juvenile court.
