Madison Police:  21-Year-Old Shooting Victim Dies

Madison police report the 21-year-old man shot in the State Street campus parking garage early Sunday morning has died.  Investigators think the shooting of Steven Villegas wasn’t a random act of violence.  Villegas is Madison’s fifth homicide victim of the year.  Students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison received a WiscAlert about the incident, asking them to avoid the area.  Police are looking for surveillance video from the parking ramps and nearby streets.  They are hoping the crowds which were outside at the time include somebody who caught something on video or in a photo.
