Dozens Of Animals Die In Barn Fire In Shawano County

Authorities say dozens of animals including cows, horses and chickens were killed when fire destroyed a barn in Shawano County. The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office says several dogs and cats perished in the fire. Deputies say the barn in the Town of Red Spring was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived at scene at around 4 A-M Wednesday. Sheriff’s officials say the owner of the barn says 30 cows, six horses, cats, dogs and chickens died in the fire. Officials say the cause of the fire has not been determined but is not believed to be suspicious.
