Police say officers responded to the scene of a car crash in Green Bay early this morning in which a driver was killed. Green Bay police say officers responded to a serious crash on Humboldt Road and Laverne Drive at around 2:30 A-M. Police say a 26-year-old Green Bay man crashed into a tree and the car then caught fire. Officers say the driver died at the scene. He was alone in the car, and no other cars were involved. Officers on scene say they suspect the driver was speeding when the crash happened but were still looking into any other factors that might have played a role in the fatal accident. The name of the victim has not been released.
