In the Eastern Wisconsin Conference last night the Roncalli Boys Basketball team used a late 15- 2 run to defeat host Chilton 70-53. The Jets, now 8-0, 4-0 in league led just 55-51 with 3:45 remaining, before pulling away down the stretch. Ian Behringer topped all scorers with 24-points for Coach Joe Garceau’s squad. Teammates Chombi Lambert and Matt Le Vene contributed 19-and-10-points, respectively. Garceau praised his opponent on the post-game show.
Roncalli was able to convert on 24 of its’ 27 free throw attempts. The Tigers drop to 2-2 in conference, 5- 2 overall. Chilton’s two, 6-5 juniors Ryan Broeckel and William Kapral had 19 and 16 points in the loss.
