Bail is set at $1000 recognizance bond for an 18-year-old Manitowoc Lincoln High School Student after getting into a fight with another student. Juan C. Torres is charged with disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping. He was out on bail in a separate matter this spring where he faces several charges including felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety as a party to a crime. Police say that Torres—another student—Alberto Sodano and a teacher were in a classroom where a test was being administered. He told authorities the two had a past and had not seen the other party since summer and this was his chance to “seek revenge”. The defendant rose up and appeared to be leaving–when he threw a plastic water bottle at Sodano. Words were exchanged and punches, chairs, and a table were thrown. There’s no word on how long the fight lasted and no injuries were reported. A condition of bail is that Torres is to have no contact with Sodano and his initial appearance is scheduled for February 4th .
