City of Brillion Receives Loan to Support Redevelopment of Former Iron Works Site

The City of Brillion has received a half a million dollar loan from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to aid in the redevelopment of the former Brillion Iron Works site. The site consists of several buildings that have been the home to several companies since the early 90’s but is now the property of the Ariens Company. Brillion Mayor Gary Deiter was thankful, not only for the loan, but also to Ariens, saying “We are very fortunate to have the support of the Ariens Company for this project; without them it would not have been possible.” The snow blower manufacturer has plans to renovate Plant 3 into a new research and development facility, and for the creation of a new roadway and bridge crossing leading to the building.
