
Three persons will be honored late next month with induction into the Manitowoc Lincoln High School Wall-of-Fame. Dave Steavpack, Activities & Athletic Director in the MPSD said today the inductees are current Lincoln High School Boys Tennis Coach Bob Feller, 1993 L-H-S graduate Jeff Wick and 1992 grad Troy Hegg. Induction ceremonies for Feller Wick and Hegg will take place during halftime of the Ships Boys Basketball game against Pulaski on Friday Night, January 25th.
*Bob Feller has coached boys tennis for 44 years and his teams have earned 14 Conference Titles, 11 Sectional championships, a State runner-up finish and 3, 3rd place finishes. He also has been named WIAA Coach of the Year 3-times and ‘National’ Coach of the Year in 2006.
*Jeff Wick achieved 8 varsity letters in football, baseball, and basketball with special notoriety as a first-team All-State Linebacker and first-team All-State catcher. He also excelled in the classroom before earning an athletic scholarship at the University of Iowa.
*Troy Hegg also was an 8-time letter-winner in football, basketball & track and was class valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. Among his accomplishments, he was a 2nd team All-Stater in football and a State qualifier in track & field. He was a walk on the University of Wisconsin football team eventually earning a full scholarship & was part of the 1995 Badgers winning Rose Bowl team.
