The Fox River Cleanup Project completed its 10th season of work last month. Crews have been dredging, capping and covering the river to reduce the impact of P-C-B contamination. Those compounds are considered a cancer risk. Nearly 325-thousand tons of sediment were processed during 2018. Operations have been shut down for the winter and will resume in March or April, depending on the weather.
