On Sunday December 2nd at approximately 3:44 PM as fans were departing from the Packer game, Green Bay Police Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Thorndale Street for a male subject brandishing a large knife and attempting to stab a young female. The 1200 block of Thorndale St is within two blocks of Lambeau Field. At the time of the call there was significant pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area.
Upon arrival in the area officers were able to apprehend a 17 year old male who had admitted being involved. The male lived in the area and was subdued by family members. The knife was recovered and one of the family members that stopped the male sustained a non-life threating injury. In the investigation of the incident, Officers were unable to identify the juvenile female victim or her father who was a witness to the attack. Witnesses advised that the young girl and her father were very scared but left in a vehicle before officers arrived. The GBPD is asking for the victim and victim’s father to contact the police and for any possible witnesses to this incident.
The 17 year old suspect in this case was transported to a hospital for evaluation. It is unknown if the female victim was injured in this attack. The Green Bay Police Department is looking to identify the girl and her father, wishing to ensure they were not injured in this incident.
