Silver Lake College of the Holy Family has hired Sheboygan native Kimberly Fairchild as their first Head Men’s and Women’s bowling coach for the 2019-20 school year. Fairchild comes to the Lakers from Sheboygan Area High School where she served as head bowling coach. She has 33 years of experience including 27 years of averaging over 200 per game and has been recognized as a United States Bowling Congress Certified Coach since 1993. Fairchild graduated from Wichita State University in Kansas in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and earned her master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland University in Sheboygan in 2010. In a news release SLC Athletic Director Brant Danals says “We are thrilled to have Kim join the Laker Family and launch our bowling program. She has an energetic personality that will fit right into our athletic culture and will be great for our student-athletes.” Fairchild says “I’m very excited to embark on this new challenge at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. I’m looking forward to instilling in the student-athletes the importance of hard work and consistent both on the bowling lanes and in their academic efforts.” She begins her duties December 3rd.
