Oshkosh Defense will be busy making armored vehicles for a while. The U.S. Army has reportedly placed an order worth $1.69 billion for joint light tactical vehicles, or JLTV’s. The vehicle is used by the Army and Marine Corps, and has replaced the Humvee as the tactical travel vehicle of choice. The JLTV has an improved suspension system, and has the ability to support a wide variety of missions, due to its off-road mobility. This is the 10 such order the army has made with Oshkosh Defense since they two signed a contract back in August of 2015.
