Bail is set at $25 thousand recognizance bond for a 33-year-old Manitowoc man charged with multiple drug-related charges. Joey Golden Jr. is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver, felony possession of THC, bail jumping, keeper of a drug vehicle, drug repeater, possession with intent to deliver within one-thousand feet of a school, possessing drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer in an official capacity, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and having a non- narcotic drug. Golden’s vehicle was pulled over shortly after 12:30 Wednesday morning in the 11-hundred block of South 21st Street for having a defective passenger-side headlight. Officers were familiar with the suspect and his history with drug use and sales and called for Officer K-9 Major to assist on scene. The drug-sniffing dog helped officers locate multiple drugs a digital scale packaging- materials and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Golden was taken into custody and had his vehicle impounded as seized property due to its use in making drug purchases. Conditions of bail are that Golden report to the city police department within 48 hours for photos and prints, have “no contact” with drug dealers, maintain absolute sobriety and possess any substance not prescribed to him. His initial appearance is scheduled for December 17th at 2:30.
