Family and Friends of around 400 members of the Army National Guard are preparing to say goodbye. The 2nd Battalion 127th Infantry unit out of Appleton will be shipping out to Afghanistan tomorrow, following a ceremonial sendoff at the Lambeau Field Atrium. The infantrymen will be supporting the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan, and will provide training, and support for the Afghan Security Forces already on the ground. The unit is part of the historic 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, better known as the “Red Arrow”. The sendoff ceremony is not open to the public.
