A driver was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and leading deputies on a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday at around 7:30 P-M, a deputy noticed a vehicle traveling at excess of 100 miles-an-hour on Interstate 41, near Highway 151 in the town of Fond du Lac. When the deputy tried to get the vehicle to stop, it continued into Dodge County. Sheriff’s officials say tire deflation devices were used and helped reduce the vehicle’s speed. Officers say when the vehicle stopped, the driver, a 27-year-old Sussex man, was taken into custody. His passenger, a 30-year-old woman, was also arrested on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession and bail jumping. Deputies say the chase spanned 12 miles and there were no reported injuries. Sheriff’s officials say they are recommending felony eluding, recklessly endangering safety and operating while under the influence charges against the driver.
