Amerequip out of Kiel has spent the past six years enacting a growth plan which included $25 million, and that plan has helped them almost triple their revenue stream. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the City of Kiel aided their efforts, which according to President and CEO Mike VanderZanden, brought their revenue from $35 million in 2012 to over $90 million this year. While the financial gains are important, VanderZanden pointed out the there was a bigger picture in mind. He says, “We take great pride in providing good paying, local jobs and development opportunities for our team members… We want the local economy to remain strong. It benefits everyone.” The leader of manufacturer of custom equipment for the commercial lawn, landscape, agricultural, construction and industrial markets is giving a lot of credit to the WEDC and City of Kiel for their belief in the company.
