The Appleton Health Department is working with the Wisconsin Division of Public Health to contact people who had close contact with a high school student who has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. The student at Xavier High School is being kept in isolation until the threat of contamination passes. Free T-B testing will be available. Health officials say 40-to-50 cases of the airborne disease are diagnosed in the state every year.
