No National League team won more games than the 96 victories the Milwaukee Brewers claimed in 2018. They weren’t a preseason favorite, adding impact to the job done by manager Craig Counsell. Despite that, Counsell finished second to Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker in the voting for 2018 National League Manager of the Year. Counsell got 11 votes for first place. Under his leadership the Brewers tied a franchise record with the 96 victories, whipping the Chicago Cubs in a tie-breaker game.
