The Wisconsin Badgers started fast but faded in a 22-10 loss at Penn State Saturday. Jonathan Taylor’s 71-yard run on Wisconsin’s third offensive play gave the Badgers a lead, but they eventually lost to Penn State for a fourth straight time. Northwestern clinched the Big Ten West by winning 14-10 at Iowa Saturday. Taylor ran for 185 yards on 20 carries, but the Wisconsin offense was held to a total of 269 yards. Quarterback Jack Coan complete nine-of-20 passes for 60 yards, with an interception, two fumbles and he was sacked five times. Coach Paul Christ said failure on third down was a big reason for the loss.
He did give credit to his defense for hanging in there,
Christ also spoke about what he told his players after losing 3 of their last five.
The Badgers play at Purdue next Saturday.
