Both referendum questions for the Kiel Area School District were passed by there voters last night. 2,078 said yes to 1,740 voted no for permission to spend $3.1 million for athletic facility upgrades and for $7 million to build a new performing Arts and Tech Ed Center—the vote was 2,135 yes and 1,679 said no.

Ebert adds the community was instrumental in making yesterday a reality.
Taxpayers will pay $28 per $100 thousand of equalized property value for the next 20 years beginning on the 2019 tax roll. Work is expected to begin on the athletic facility renovations next May and the District is targeting completion for the Performing Arts and Tech Ed Center sometime in 2020.
