The Milwaukee Brewers have hired an assistant hitting coach for the Cubs to take the place of Darnell Coles. Forty-one-year-old Andy Haines reportedly has a long history with Milwaukee outfielder Christian Yelich, dating back to seasons in the Miami Marlins minor league system. The Cubs fired hitting coach Chili Davis last month but passed over Haines for the job. Coles left the Brewers to join Arizona. Milwaukee still needs replacements for pitching coach Derek Johnson and bullpen coach Lee Tunnell.
