Bail is set at $2000 cash for a 30-year-old Manitowoc man facing multiple drug-related charges in connection to his arrest last week near a Manitowoc elementary school. Daniel P. Ciliberto is charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana all within 1,000 feet of a school while armed, keeper of a drug house, child neglect, possessing drug paraphernalia and bail jumping. A 29- year-old Manitowoc woman was also taken into custody but no official charges or her identity have been released. MPD officers working a state-funded Drug & Warrant Interdiction Grant conducted a check last Friday afternoon for a wanted subject at a residence close to Franklin School. Police arrived & detected the odor of marijuana and found the wanted subject in the basement. After getting a search warrant officers located what was termed a distributable amount of drugs including high-concentrate THC also known as ‘dabs.’ A large amount of evidence was seized from the residence linked with the distribution of illicit drugs. The Department of Human Services became involved as 2-children were removed from the dwelling, due to exposure to controlled-substances. Conditions of bail include that Ciliberto possess no firearms and maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol. He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for next Monday at 2:30.
