There are plenty of positive things happening in Manitowoc at the County level. County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer was on the WCUB Breakfast Club last week, and started off by talking about the 2019 budget and said it’s coming together.
The deadline to pass the budget is the end of November. Ziegelbauer also spoke about the next construction project on County Road R.
Speaking of Waldo Boulevard…
One issue that can be a bit confusing is the County’s role in funding the Manitowoc Public Library. Ziegelbauer explained that while the library is a city funded entity, anyone living in the county can utilize it. The County then pays for those outside the city limits. The county will be paying less to the library this ear for one simple reason.
The County Executive said that they are working with the library to “smooth out the financing.”
