Oshkosh North High School went on what officials call a “hard lockdown” Thursday morning. A school counselor had informed police about a Wednesday incident involving a student and a gun in the Town of Oshkosh. Police told school officials to go into the hard lockdown after they were told the student was on the school grounds Thursday. There was word that a firearm was missing from the student’s home. Deputies with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the student and the lockdown was lifted.
