The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has submitted a complete application to the federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) requesting disaster FoodShare benefits for residents affected by the widespread flooding and extreme storms that impacted much of the state in late-August and early-September. Following the statewide State of Emergency declared by Governor Scott Walker, DHS requested approval from FNS to provide additional assistance to people in counties most impacted by severe weather.
