An unsealed search warrant reveals an underground gas line wasn’t properly marked, leading to the fatal explosion and fire in downtown Sun Prairie last July. A Wisconsin-based worker for an Indiana company which specializes in locating and marking underground utilities put the mark about 25 feet away from the gas line. Workers with Verizon hit the line, causing a leak and leading to the blast. The evidence discovered could support a charge of second-degree reckless homicide.
