The Marquette Golden Eagles missed their first three shots in the new Fiserv Arena, but that didn’t keep them from nearly doubling the score put up by Carroll in Tuesday’s exhibition, with a final score of 87-44. Marquette went on a 16-6 run to break a six-all tie. They overcame a start which included eight straight misses from outside the three-point line. Sacar Anim topped the scoring column with 17 points. Leading 41-22 at the half, the Golden Eagles scored the first 15 points after intermission. The regular season opens next Tuesday at home against the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
