The Green Bay Packers have made a pair of trades prior to the NFL trade deadline. First—they’ve dealt Running Back Ty Montgomery to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2020 seventh round pick—and the Green and Gold have also shipped Safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix to the Washington Redskins for a 2019 fourth-round pick. The Montgomery deal comes two days after his special teams’ error on a fourth-quarter kickoff he brought out of the endzone subsequently fumbling it allowing the Rams to hold off Green Bay 29 to 27. He was drafted in the third round in 2015. Clinton-Dix was a first-round pick out of Alabama in 2014 and made the Pro Bowl in 2016. He once had a streak of 2,033 defensive straight plays on the field but with the emergence of rookie Jaire Alexander and a crop of talented young defensive backs, Clinton-Dix became expendable. He also becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
