A Waukesha County village is working rapidly to extend water service to a school in Lannon after the discovery of E. coli and coliform in well water. Students and staff are using donated bottled water for drinking and washing hands until the project is completed. Nobody has been sickened. State testing of water samples found the contamination in September. A 350-thousand dollar project is being conducted to connect the school to the municipal water service by mid-December.
