Unemployment rates dropped last month in both the city of Manitowoc and Manitowoc County. According to a news release yesterday from the State Department of Workforce Development, the city’s rate improved to 2.8% in September, from the previous mark of 3.3 in August. Manitowoc County’s Jobless figure also was reduced by one-half of a percent…from 3% in August down to 2.5 last month. Neighboring counties show an even ‘lower’ unemployment rate: Sheboygan’s is 2.1%, while Calumet and Kewaunee Counties each checked in at 2.2 in September.
