The Sheboygan Police Department shut down a section of Union Avenue for a short time over the weekend due to a single vehicle accident. Police were called to the scene at around 2:25 AM yesterday morning, and it was determined the 27 year old male driver was traveling south on South 24th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at Union Avenue. He crashed into Watson’s Vending, which ignited a small fire. The driver is ok, however he was arrested on charges of Second Offence OWI, Reckless Driving, and Inattentive Driving.
