The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation is identifying three Superior police officers involved in a shooting last week that left a man wounded. Agents say Officers George Gothner, Michael Kendall and Christopher Woolery got into a confrontation with a 19-year-old theft suspect October 5th and the man was shot several times. All three officers are on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The D-C-I says the “victim-suspect” remains hospitalized in stable condition. His name has not been released. State investigators say the Superior Police Department has been fully cooperative with the investigation. D-C-I agents will turn over their reports to the Douglas County Attorney’s office.
