Emergency management officials in Green County say an explosion at an ethanol plant early Tuesday morning caused some structural damage, but nobody was injured. The blast happened in a silo at Badger State Ethanol in Monroe just before 6:00 A-M. The silo was about 40 percent full of ground corn when the incident happened and that caused a fire which was quickly contained. The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
