Rainfall is in the forecast for Madison through Wednesday this week and that means flooding returns as a major concern. The National Weather Service is predicting up to an inch-and-a-half of rain by tomorrow and that brings with it the threat of flash flooding. Lakes in the area remain above their banks from the heavy August rains. Several Madison streets are still closed due to standing water. City officials worry extensive snow or rain over the next couple of months could cause more flooding.
