A hunter who shot a 500-pound bear after hours last month could be facing charges in Price County Circuit Court. That hunter hasn’t been identified yet. The Department of Natural Resources reports the black bear was killed about 30 minutes after legal shooting hours had ended September 10th. The bear meat will be donated to families in Ogema and Phillips, with the bear mount going to a local youth camp.
