Officials at the Park Falls Airport hope to have applications for permits filed with the F-A-A, the Department of Natural Resources, the U-S Coast Guard and several other government agencies by next summer. They are working to establish a seaplane base where the airport meets the Flambeau River in Park Falls. The Park Falls Airport has been working on the project for the last three years. Buoys have been placed in the river to create a landing strip next to a dock which includes a fuel tank.
