- The 2nd annual Windigo Fest is happening this Friday, Saturday & Sunday in historic downtown Manitowoc to celebrate all things Halloween. The fun kicks off Friday night with the opening Scarimonies at 5 pm with dancing witches…and live music all evening. Saturday features a pancake breakfast and dance-a-long, more dancing witches, an aerial performance a kids costume contest, lakeside luminaries, and live music all day and evening including music by Road Trip. The fun continues Sunday with more live music and dancing. And don’t forget about the historical cemetery tours on Saturday afternoon. It’s all happening in downtown Manitowoc on October 5th, 6th & 7th – you won’t want to miss it! More event info here
- The Silver Creek Fish Boil & Steak Fry will be held Friday, October 5th from 4:30 to 8:30 pm at the Silver Creek Fire Station, located at 19th & Silver Creek Road. Also available are hot dogs, desserts & refreshments.
- The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA will be hosting “Art on the Lakeshore” on Saturday, October 6 from 10 am to 2 pm. This event is Free and open to the public. Event Highlights: hours of creative family fun. Tables will be set up in the main gym with 9 make-and-take craft activities, such as Pumpkin Decorating, Spinner Art, Face Painting, Scarecrow Face, Pumpkin Collage, Dangling Spiders, Masking Tape Mummies, Beaded Danglers and more. For Kids ages 4-12 and their families. Admission is free and open to the public
- The 7th Annual Geigel Car Show for InCourage Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center will be held October 6, from 12-3 pm at Geigel Acres in Manitowoc. Roy and Darlene Geigel put on this charity event each year to help raise funds for InCourage. Featuring dozens of classic cars, including several from Roy and Darlene’s personal collection, this is an event that car lovers shouldn’t miss. Entry is free for all who wish to attend. Food and drink will be available for a donation, and there will be several unique silent auction items available.
- The Kellnersville Fire Department is celebrating 100 years of service to surrounding communities this year. The celebration will kick off with a parade starting at 11 am on Saturday, October 6. The parade will start at the west end of the village by Zeman Road and will follow Main Street ending at the fire station. After the parade, there will be food including chicken booyah, beverages, kids games, raffles and plenty of live music throughout the afternoon and evening. All activities are held at the fire station. Live Music Lineup: Mark Jirikovec Band 1 – 4 pm, Deb Rohr & Ricky Dean 4 – 7 pm, and Blind Ambition 7 – 11 pm.
- Autumn Breakfast in the Park will be on Sunday, October 7th from 8 am to 12 pm at the Point Beach State Park Main Lodge. The cost is $9 in advance and $10 the day of the event. $5 for children under 10. Tickets are available in advance at the Two Rivers Recreation Department or Point Beach State Park Check In Building. A park sticker is not required for park entrance for this event. 50% of the sales will be donated to the Two Rivers Optimist Club. A buffet breakfast will be served. Raffle baskets will be available.
