The Wisconsin Student Assessment System exam results have been released. The results were separated into four categories, those being English Language Arts and Mathematics for grades 3-8 and grade 11. The results for the Manitowoc Public School District show a negative trend, across the board. The percentage of students that performed proficient and advanced in ELA dropped by 8.4% for high school juniors, 2.5% for the elementary students, and 3.3% for Juniors in for Mathematics, 5.6% for elementary students. We are currently arranging a sit down with Superintendent Mark Holzman to discuss the trend.
