A former officer with the Madison Police Department is scheduled to be sentenced for operating while intoxicated at a December hearing. Kelly A. Hoeft entered a guilty plea Tuesday to a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated with a passenger under the age of 16. A 9-1-1 call was made last summer after a witness saw her car knock down some road signs. When checked, her blood alcohol content reading was more than three times the legal limit. A child was in the back seat of her car.
