Wisconsin educators would like to see better results in statewide testing than the ones emerging from the exams taken last spring. Fewer than half of the students in grades three-through-eight scored proficient or better in English-language arts and math. More than 450-thousand Wisconsin public school students took the so-called Forward exam. There were slight gains in math, but all but one grade saw a decline in the English-language arts results.
