The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay has hired the aid of a third party investigator to investigate all of their clergymen. The probe comes on the tail of a massive number of priests and other members of the national church leadership being accused of sexual misconduct. The Texas based investigative firm will be reviewing the files of all priests and deacons within the diocese in an attempt to ensure a cases of abuse within the church community have been identified, and abusers properly punished. Bishop Robert Morneau withdrew from his position within the diocese last week, saying he failed to properly report abuse conducted by a priest 40 years ago, who went on to abuse again.
