The University of Wisconsin-Madison reports it has a record-setting freshman class of six-thousand-862 students on campus. That’s a three-point-eight percent increase over last spring and represents the largest freshman class in school history. More than 42-thousand students applied for admissions. The class includes students from 43 foreign countries, 71 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties and 47 states.
