Democrat Tony Evers Promises School Funding, Raising Some Taxes

The Democratic candidate for Wisconsin governor says he wants to reduce the tax burden on middle-class families and the poor.  Tony Evers says he would have the wealthy pay more taxes.  Evers says he wants to raise spending on schools by 10 percent without increasing property taxes.  He says education priorities in the state are “out of whack” under the Walker administration.  He doesn’t have a specific plan but is open to adjusting personal income taxes and raising the fuel tax.
