The Packers have activated second-year running back Aaron Jones. The team’s leading rusher from a year ago was suspended for two games for violating the N-F-L’s substance abuse policy. Jones gained 448 yards, with an average of five-and-a-half yards-a-carry during the 2017 season. He was suspended after admitting he had smoked marijuana during a traffic stop last October. To make room on the roster, the Packers cut cornerback Deante Burton. Green Bay (1-0-1) will return to the practice field today to prepare for Sunday’s noon kickoff against the Redskins in Washington. WOMT coverage begins with Packers Game-Day @ 10:00 Sunday morning.
