2:20 pm update 9/20/18:
Authorities have identified the gunman who died after shooting four co-workers at the Middleton, Wisconsin WTS Paradigm software company. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office says 43 year old Anthony Y Tong died from “firearm related trauma” in Wednesday’s shooting. The medical examiner says an autopsy was conducted Thursday and that additional testing is underway. The investigation involves Middleton Police, the State Division of Criminal Investigation and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Meanwhile, police are escorting employees back inside the WTS Paradigm building today. Officers are helping the workers gather cellphones, keys, purses, etc, that were left behind as they fled the shooting yesterday morning. Police Chief Chuck Foulke said Thursday that officers still have control of the building as they investigate the shooting that left three employees seriously wounded. The gunman was fatally shot by police. Police still don’t know why the man attacked his office.
More details are coming out about the shooting incident that took place in Middleton yesterday. Middleton Police Chief Charles Foulke said that the suspect did not use a rifle.
Three victims were taken to a local hospital, while the suspect was shot by a police officer and later died. The Middleton Police are not releasing his name at this time.
