State, county and local authorities are working to identify the human remains found in a field in Tomah Monday morning. A person inspecting power lines made the discovery shortly before noon. Officials are warning the identification process could be a long one. Tomah police are working the case with the Monroe County Joint Investigative Task Force and the Wisconsin Crime Scene Response Team. A crime scene reconstruction team is also involved.
