The plan for a boutique hotel on State Street in Madison has advanced. The Madison Planning Commission approved the proposal with a set of conditions. The 43-million-dollar project would re-develop four buildings in the 100 block of State Street into a 130-room hotel. The plan still needs approval from the city council, which could come later this month.
