That was the reaction to several of the hundred plus individuals that stopped out to the AMC Movie Theater in Manitowoc to watch the film The Ripple Effect. The film takes a look at the story of Kevin Hines, who leapt from the Golden Gate Bridge. He has since dedicated his life to talking to people around the world about his story and how to prevent suicide. Donna Firman from Prevent Suicide Manitowoc County was very happy with the turnout.
We also ran into Manitowoc County Veteran Service Director Todd Brehmer.
The focus of today’s edition Seehafer Broadcasting’s weeklong series on suicide prevention, Kelly and Kirsten Lenz were also on hand.
Shanen Daly was also effected by the message of the film, and she said it helped her see more of what may have been going through her son Morgan’s mind before he took his own life nearly two years ago..
Remember, if you or someone you know needs immediate help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, at 1-800-273-TALK. (1-800-273-8255)
